“ha ha …. you… you want MY vote?”
Let me tell you something. Politics is fucking bullshit.
I’m not the first person who has reached this conclusion… and it’s not a particularly difficult conclusion to reach.
First: let’s smash down the “left/right” barrier. It, too, is complete bullshit.
Political left and political right simply appeal to two different sides of people.
The political right, I figure, tends to cater to the fiscal side of people. These are the guys flaunting lower tax rates, cutting services, making government leaner, etc. etc.
Now there’s nothing *wrong* with making more money. I like my paycheck. I don’t like seeing a percentage lopped off the top. It’s completely fucking logical that I’d vote for these guys, right? Right.
You then have the political left, these guys appeal to the “humanitarian.”
They like to whine about how we have to help the middle class (hey, I *am* the middle class! I should vote for these fucks!) They also like to help out the poor, take from the rich, and in general provide lots of services. Everyone has a *right* to basic healthcare, amirite? amirite? Yeah.
So there’s nothing *wrong* with either side. They’ve both picked their positions very carefully. Two sides of a coin - at any given election the coin has to land in their favor 50% of the time. (btw: if you’re one of those fucks that will “always vote republican” or “always vote democrat” get the FUCK out. You’re clearly incapable of logical reasoning and this post is probably beyond you. Sorry. Had to get that off my chest… and it felt goooood.)
Wh is it that both sides hate each other? Both sides bitch and moan at each other, they argue with each other, debate with each other, beat each other up, protest against one another, etc. etc.
Let’s get something straight: You. Know. Nothing. About. Politics.
That’s right. Are you an economist? NO!? Then why are you telling me that it’s right (or wrong) to lower (or hike) taxes? Are you a lawyer? NO!?!???!?!? Then how can you tell me that the democrat’s running to Illinois was illegal? (protip: it wasn’t.) How can you tell me that Scott Walker’s acts are illegal? How can you argue that we should recall the fucker if you can’t even begin to understand the intricacies of the situation?
Don’t get me wrong, you have a right to your *opinion*, but in general we’re all fucking morons when it comes to running a country. Every. Single. One of us.
The only people who “know how to run a country” are in *gasp* POLITICS!
Also, let’s get something else straight:
For everyone who thinks we should make everything public: you’re nuts.
To everyone who thinks we should make everything private: you’re also nuts.
You want smaller government? That’s acheived by privatizing shit. If you privatize shit, the private industries gain more political power. If they gain more power, they basically *become the government.* (They won’t be labelled as such, though. So I like to call corporations “sneaky government bodies.” or the more aptly named “ninja government.”)
This shit’s called lobbying, yo, and it happens.
You want bigger government? That comes at a cost. That cost is *taxes.* Someone has to pay to run the country. Perhaps the people who live in it should pay for it.
—
Also, let’s go back to what happened in Wisconsin. Guess who’s benefits you’re paying for? Walker’s. Do you HONESTLY think that he’ll cut his benefits and wages? Put yourself in his shoes. Of course he doesn’t want to take a pay cut, nobody does. He’s just spewing bullshit.
It’s all about *power.*
You can give that power to coprorations, or to the government. BOTH entities are going to try and hold on to as much power as possible. The right generally argues for smaller government, less services, lower taxes. That means that the right is basically advocating for their jobs to be cut. You’d be a fucking moron to push legislation that makes your job non-existent.
The biggest mistake this country will ever see is very simple: giving corporations legal rights.
In a country where money talks, can you honestly say it was a wise decision to give multi-million dollar companies the right to go to court?
Once again, just because they’re not labeled as government doesn’t mean they don’t govern you’re every fucking move.
It’s all. Fucking. Bullshit.
If you vote for this shit, you’re just perpetuating the bullshit.
Yes, you’re a cog in the machine of politics, your opinion matters, etc. etc.
NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.
You’re such a tiny insignificant cog that if you spin the wrong way YOUR TEETH WILL BE STRIPPED AND YOU WILL SHATTER INTO A BILLION PIECES. [/rage]
I’m just gonna sit back and watch you guys bitch and moan. It’s like reality TV, except more realistic!
